In fast changing and ever more demanding times, expanding our map of the world to give us more choices about how we behave and increase our adaptability is key to meeting the challenges which we face.


I offer a programme of one day workshops to equip people with new skills, give them more choices and improve their confidence in themselves.


The workshops are interactive and the focus is on giving participants the chance to practice and learn from experience.  They can be delivered face to face or virtually.


The days can be tailored to meet your specific needs.

 

Assertiveness


We all know how to behave assertively.  This workshop is about building the mindset and tools to enable us to make that choice more often.  You’ll learn about rights, how to behave assertively in different situations and how to deal with aggression and non-assertion.  The aim of the day is to build confidence, help you deal with difficult situations, and increase team and organisational effectiveness.

 

Resilience


Resilience isn’t a quality that we have or lack.  It’s about mindset, emotional intelligence, our beliefs about ourselves, how we face crises and how we look after ourselves.  This workshop is about giving people a resilience toolkit to help them deal with the wear and tear that is part of life and promote their wellbeing.

 

 

The Coaching Leader


The coaching leader grows their people to improve their performance and take responsibility.  Being a coaching leader demands a lot of skill.  You will learn when and how this style works and gain practical experience working with the GROW model, asking powerful questions, developing empathy and being an effective listener.

 

 

Building a great team


Success is typically about team work rather than individual effort, but how does individual behaviour turn into great teamwork?  This one day workshop aims to answer that question with practical exercises to demonstrate how to liberate the potential of the team, overcome dysfunctional behaviours, apply a solution focused approach to becoming the best team that you can be and create a motivational team charter.

 

Self Awareness


Self awareness is the foundation for personal and leadership effectiveness.  Using a combination of psychometrics, personal reflection and group exercises this workshop explores the choices we make about our relationships with others, making decisions and organising ourselves and the world.  The aim is to enable us to take practical action to expand our repertoire, overcome blind spots and build flexibility. 

 

 

Career coaching


We all have a purpose cause or belief, we all have values and we all have a unique set of skills and talents.  This workshop gives participants the opportunity to craft a personal mission statement to guide their career development and the tools to write a great CV; market themselves; network and use social media; present brilliantly at interview; and grow their resilience.


An introduction to action learning

Action learning sets give people the opportunity to come together in small groups with a facilitator to work on organisational tasks, opportunities or issues about which they want to do something.  They are a great way for colleagues to learn from each other and use the resources of the action learning set to come up with ideas and approaches to make real and sustainable differences in the workplace. 


They help participants to hone their skills as presenters, to listen more intentionally, to question more powerfully and to practice giving and receiving feedback.  They bring learning and action together in  away envisaged by Reg Revans founder of the idea:


“there is no learning without action and no (sober and deliberate) action without learning”


Participants in action learning sets have often described these as the most powerful part of the workshops and programmes which I have delivered.
